Bank Street Best Books of the Year 2015
Bank Street College of Education puts out an annotated bibliography of books.  The Informational Book Categories for ages 5-9 are:  Activities, Animals, Architecture, Arts, Biography, Ecology, History, Holidays, Mathematics, Reference, Religion, Science, Sports, Technology, and World.  The books are flagged as *outstanding, suggested read aloud, graphic format,  and a suggested age range. This on-line bibliography is also available as a print edition.
Outstanding Science Trade Books for Children
This list, published every March is a joint effort of the National Science Teacher's Association and the Children's Book Council.
Noteable Social Studies Tradebooks for Children
This list is published in the May/June issue of Social Education and is a joint effort of NCSS (National Council of Teacher of Social Studies) and CBC (Children's Book Council). Current list available to members only.
